COLABERS
Our team of CoLabers have a mix of skills, experiences and reasons as to why we each love working in an agile way.
We are all professional trainers and practitioners, and couple real-world experience with agile principles and frameworks. We love learning from the people and organisations we train and coach, and feed real-world learning back into our training courses and coaching reflecting up-to-date trends, challenges and technologies.
We empower you to transform yourself, your teams and your wider organisation.
What brings us together as Agile CoLab is a strong collective interest in accelerating our learning through sharing our experiences with each other. As a team, we regularly spend time together to problem-solve, share ideas, create IP, as well as challenge and support each other in our work.

He is particularly effective at clarifying complex ideas and making agile principles and approaches accessible for everyone. He’s an experienced agile trainer and has developed numerous specialist agile training courses.
In his own time, agilePete loves the freedom of the road. He enjoys exploring our beautiful country in his VW campervan and often sets off with no destination in mind letting the adventure unfold in front of him. He’s a keen golfer and is always open to the offer of a game.

He’s an expert in Lean, Agile, and DevOps practices, and is particularly skilled in teaching Continuous Delivery pipelines. His hands-on coaching style helps teams to adopt these techniques and improve their workflows, resulting in better and faster delivery of value.
In his downtime, Alfred enjoys gardening, playing golf, and teaming up for co-op video games. He’s also a fan of Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Action, and Animation TV series and movies, and is always on the lookout for his next great watch.
BRAD MILNE
TECHNICAL & PLATFORM QUALITY SPECIALIST
Brad's been writing code and building products for over 20 years and he knows what it actually feels like to deliver under pressure. He's founded multiple startups, which has meant moving fast with prototypes, navigating compliance rules and making things work in the real world. He's also spent years in large organisations, guiding teams to build test automation practices from scratch and pulling dev, ops and service teams together to stop blocking each other and start shipping.
Brad has lived in both worlds and seen Scrum done badly and done well. He knows the difference it makes when you get it right. If you've ever felt like Scrum is slowing you down, Brad gets it. But he's also seen how it can make life easier for developers and help teams actually ship.
Outside of consulting, Brad is kept busy running Symbiant Systems, the company he has run since 2009. Symbiant quietly powers billing and flight information systems for regional airports across New Zealand, depended on for millions of passenger journeys every year. It's a reminder that great software doesn't need to shout to make an impact.
When he's not working, Brad is a busy dad to his young and young adult kids. He loves jumping on a mountain bike and spends a lot of time coaching junior football and cheering on kids games through the winter season.
